Day 1 — Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Your safari begins with a scenic drive north through Kenya's fertile central highlands towards the rugged landscapes of Samburu County. Along the journey, enjoy spectacular views of Mount Kenya and the changing scenery as you travel into northern Kenya. Upon arrival at Samburu National Reserve, check into your selected lodge or camp and enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive through the reserve. Explore the riverine forests and open plains in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife species. The Ewaso Nyiro River attracts a remarkable concentration of animals, providing excellent game-viewing opportunities. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 — Full Day Samburu Safari Experience

Spend the entire day exploring the wilderness of Samburu National Reserve. Early morning and afternoon game drives provide excellent opportunities to search for the Samburu Special Five and the reserve's famous predators. The unique habitats found here support species rarely seen elsewhere in Kenya.

Your guide will take you to some of the best wildlife viewing areas along the Ewaso Nyiro River, where elephants, crocodiles, hippos, and numerous bird species gather. The reserve is also renowned for leopard sightings and large elephant herds. Throughout the day, enjoy breathtaking landscapes and exceptional photographic opportunities.
