Event Details
Eburu Forest is a special kind of forest to the Nakuru-Naivasha Tourism Circuit. It sits on a volcanic mountain with beautiful views of three lakes: Lake Naivasha, Lake Elementaita, and Lake Nakuru. The highest point of the mountain is Ol Doinyo Eburu, which is 2,820 meters tall.
The hike begins at the main gate. You'll walk through a thick, dry forest with many hills. As you go deeper, the forest changes. You'll see a different kind of forest with taller trees. Then, you'll reach a valley with stinging nettles. After that, you'll climb a steep hill to a flatter area.
Next, you'll walk down to another valley with a clear stream. Then, you'll climb another steep hill to the top of the ridge. This is the last part of the climb. Finally, you'll walk down the mountain, passing three more hills with great views.
