Birds and other animals
There are more than 200 species of birds in the forest. Moreover, some of them are Migratory birds. To list birds like the Hurtlabs turaco and the Narina trogon, which are very rare and beautiful, can be found here. Ngare Ndare forest is also home to the big five, some ugly five animals, and smaller wildlife animals like bushbucks, waterbucks, warthogs, and hyenas.
